Need help finding a Dress

Hi Kathy & PSW group,

My husband just told me we are going Puerto Varata in May and I will need a dress for some special place he is taking me there. Too funny, because I don't own any dresses. I've always said "I don't do dresses." lol Well, that's about to change at 40. I'm looking for a summer dress that goes pass the knee because I have those lovely veins to hide. Could you please help me out with some suggestions?

Thanks, Kathy! And we can shortcut the Personal Shopper process (since I'm the one who puts those together! All I really need is the size you're looking for (approximately), and your favorite color or (better) your color season. Body type if you know it, but if not, don't worry.

Once I have those answers, I'll put together a showcase of ideas for you to browse through and shop from. It takes a bit over an hour once I get the answers. Kate can tell you more about the showcases - she swears by them!

Wow that sounds great! I wear an 18/20 but I don't know if that's what I would wear in a dress or not too? I'm more of the summer palet. Not brights or dark colors. According to the guides I'm an hourglass. Let me know, if you need any thing else. Thank you! :)

Just a few more questions and I'll start hunting ... frilly, gauzy, light-weight, subtle embroidery? Empire style, with a short or kimono sleeve? Or something light weight but a bit more formal?
