A little bit about Dear Bette

One morining, while driving into work, I had an idea about wanting to do something on the web. I didn't know what that something was, but it felt like a bit of a driving force. A few minutes before arriving to the campus, it hit me: an advice column! I could take the things in my life -- good, bad, and indifferent -- and apply it to help others in need of advice.

About ten minutes before my boss walked in, I had a site up on the web! Since then, I joined Link Referral to start getting some qualified traffic to my site. Low and behold, it worked! I started getting some more requests and most favorable reviews, so I joined a few other traffic sites to further increase visitors and more requests came in. Every once in a while, I will get a direct email request asking that the submission and reply not be posted just in case someone mentioned happens onto the site, I have honored this. Ended up making some excellent friends in return!

I also joined Yuwie! to enhance my traffic endeavors and now I have some of my most valued friends there. It is a great little community of various people with all different types of backgrounds and beliefs. Plus, tho it's not going to make me rich beyond measure, I earn a little money by clicking about on the site.

My website came from not being able to start on my writing project. Yes, like so many others out there, I have dreams of writing a book - about me - in order to help others. Interestingly enough, I started having so many things to write on my site that I am now back to writing my book! I've created a blog about this new adventure and hope you might take some time to check it out! I've been having a bit of fun with it.
