We HAVE to talk politics. Our country is being ruined by the current type of politicians. We need a revolution in what we require of our elected politicians. If we don't talk about it, the current system will never evolve into something better. Did you happen to catch the Bill Moyer's show last night about "earmarks?" Being old enough to live through Watergate, Contragate, and two wars in Iraq, I didn't think I could be shocked by the behavior of politicians, but I was, truly shocked. We are so screwed unless we kick them all out of office and start over.

Very well said, and I agree all around. Didn't see the Moyers thing, but I'll look for a rerun. I know what you mean about being shocked, or not. I think I actually reached the what-else-is-new point with Bush about half a year ago, but until then I could be heard saying things like, "They'd *never* invade Iran!" and "Things couldn't possibly get worse than they are." These days I have to fight the "John McCain couldn't *possibly* be elected." What a nightmare *that* would be. <<shiver>>
